Born and raised in St. Marys, Iowa, I attended college at Northern Arizona University where I received a BS and an MA in English literature.
After teaching English composition at a community college in Arizona, I entered my current career of student affairs administration at Iowa State University. I am currently working in student affairs at the University of Arizona.
In my current capacity, I am a trainer, educator, and presenter.
Not only have I spent time looking at happiness and the habits of happy people, which has led to the development of live-large.org, but I have also spent time learning about and developing the concept of finding one’s own personal truth and developing trust in one’s intuition, leading me to develop findyourtruth.org. I am an avid scuba diver; I have dabbled in skydiving and paragliding; and I find tremendous peace on the back of my Harley-Davidson.
